Equinox Elite Climbing Rope is a 9.7mm Single (Top) rope with the world-famous MAXIM Twill Pattern Technology (TPT) sheath and STD Dry core. It's a perfect rope for sport and trad climbing or any entry level climber. The unique smooth TPT pattern on the sheath and a high proportion of sheath ensure resilience in open areas and durability. The rope features a dry treated core (STD-DRY) to reduce water absorption. The new MAXIM Equinox Elite makes climbing a true joy! Key Features: MAXIMs Twill Pattern Technology (TPT) is a special cover design resulting in a twill pattern (one over one) or weave. Due to this design the cover has a smaller profile in cross-section than plain pattern ropes - the more traditional-looking climbing rope cover (two over two). A result of the smaller profile is improved abrasion resistance over abrasive surfaces, as well as significantly reduced drag in carabiners and mechanical devices. Thats why climbers use TPT-ropes for long rope lengths where drag should be reduced.
