The AlOx system spans 7 distinct stages, from ultra-aggressive cut to ultra-fine mirror finish. Each compound is designed to work with specific buffing wheel types, making it easy to build a complete polishing workflow from prep to show-quality shine. Available in two sizes to match your job volume. Surface prep recommendation: Start with 180-grit, step to 220-grit, and finish sanding at 400-grit before moving to compound. For aluminum, 400-grit prep is sufficient for most cutting compounds. A maroon satin airway wheel is recommended before applying cutting compounds to avoid hash marks from prep discs. How to apply: With the buffing wheel spinning at appropriate RPM, press the compound bar lightly against the edge of the wheel in short passes to transfer an even coat. Reload the wheel as the compound depletes during the polishing stage.
